In its first Express Entry-linked invitations of the new year, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited 242 French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the candidates invited in the draw held on January 9 ranged between 433 and 472. The highest score in the range is just one point lower than the CRS cut-off score for the latest federal Express Entry draw held on January 8. The invited candidates, if successfully apply for and obtain a provincial nomination from Ontario, will have 600 additional score points added to their total CRS score. It would guarantee them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada in subsequent Express Entry draw.
