Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 529 candidates under this category with a minimum Expression of Interest(EOI) score of 401 received invitations in the draw.

Skilled Workers Overseas: 67 invitations were issued to candidates under this category and the minimum EOI score required was 718.

International Education Stream: 54 candidates under this category were invited and they had no EOI score requirement.

The number of Express Entry candidates who received invitations in the draw is 135.

Express Entry

The Express Entry system of Canada manages applications for immigration under the three federal economic immigration programs, which are the Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Federal Skilled Trades Program. One may receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence by directly applying through Express Entry. But if you have a low Comprehensive Ranking System score, when 600 additional score points are added to your total CRS score with a provincial nomination, it would guarantee you an invitation to apply for permanent residence in a subsequent Express Entry draw.

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program

In order to receive a provincial nomination from Manitoba, you need to register an Expression of Interest with the MPNP. Once you have registered, you may receive an invitation to apply for provincial nomination under Skilled Workers in Manitoba or Skilled Workers Overseas streams. Each of the registered profiles is assessed on the basis of various human capital factors and a score out of 1000 is awarded to them. Candidates under the Skilled Workers Overseas category need to demonstrate previous connections to Manitoba in the form of close family ties, previous study or work experience in the province or an invitation received through one of the Strategic Recruitment Initiatives of the province. However, it is not necessary for the candidate to be residing in the province at the time of submitting the application.

At the same time, Skilled Workers in Manitoba category requires the candidates to have a full-time job offer from a provincial employer. International graduates may receive an invitation from Manitoba if they have the skills that are in demand in the province.
