Manitoba Skilled Worker Overseas Stream

The Skilled Worker Overseas Stream under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is dedicated to overseas immigration candidates who wish to settle in Manitoba. The stream has two different pathways under it, Express Entry pathway and a direct provincial pathway. International skilled workers with work experience in any of the in-demand occupations of Manitoba can apply under the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream of MPNP. Those candidates who have close family connections to the province, language proficiency, training and the ability to become financially established in the province soon have a better chance of receiving nomination from Manitoba.

The Manitoba Express Entry pathway is for those candidates eligible under another Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program stream. Besides, they must have met the Express Entry eligibility criteria and have an active Express Entry profile. The other requirements are skills, training and required level of work experience in one of the in-demand occupations of Manitoba and a strong previous connection to the province. The Human Capital Pathway under the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream also requires the candidate to have skills, training and experience in one of the in-demand occupations of Manitoba. The candidates must also demonstrate that they have the potential to find employment soon after they arrive in Manitoba.

Now, it is not mandatory for the candidates to have at least six months of work experience in the relevant field in order to apply for provincial nomination from Manitoba. There are three pathways under the International Education Stream, which are the Career Employment Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway and Student Entrepreneur Pathway.
