Skilled immigration to Manitoba
If you want to move to Manitoba as a skilled worker, the first step for you is to submit an Expression of Interest to the MPNP. Each of the candidates who submit an Expression of Interest is assessed on the basis of various eligibility factors and awarded a score out of 1000. Those with the highest scores will receive an invitation to apply for provincial nomination through either Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream or through Skilled Workers Overseas stream.
To be eligible under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, the candidate must demonstrate connections to the province in the form of close family members residing here or an invitation received through one of the Strategic Recruitment Initiatives of Manitoba. However, you need not be residing in Canada at the time of submitting application. Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream is for those who have a job offer from the province.
International students who have completed their higher education in one of the higher education institutions in Manitoba, who possess skills that are in demand in the province may receive an invitation under the International Education Stream.
Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination will have 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points added to their profile and this would guarantee them an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence in Canada in a subsequent Express Entry draw.
