All the invited candidate had a minimum Expression of Interest (EoI) score of 70. They were also required to have submitted Educational Credential Assessment(ECA) report to prove that their educational qualifications were equal to Canadian standards. Further, they needed work experience in one of the 61 in-demand occupations of Saskatchewan, including utilities managers, medical laboratory technicians and miners etc.

Saskatchewan Expression of Interest system

The Expression of Interest system allows Saskatchewan to select candidates who can contribute towards the economic growth of the province. In order to receive an invitation to apply for provincial nomination under either the Express Entry or the Occupations In Demand sub-category, the candidates must first submit an Expression of Interest to the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). Each candidate is then assessed on the basis of eligibility factors such as work experience, education, language ability, age and previous connection to the province and awarded a score out of 100. Those with the highest scores receive invitations to apply for provincial nomination in the Expression of Interest draws that are conducted regularly.

Saskatchewan PNP Occupations In Demand subcategory

Those candidates who do not have an Express Entry profile can apply for provincial nomination through Occupations In-demand sub-category. Though a job offer is not necessary, the candidate must have work experience in one of the in-demand occupations of Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan PNP Express Entry subcategory

The Express Entry subcategory candidates also need to submit an Expression of Interest to receive an invitation to apply for provincial nomination. Upon receiving a provincial nomination, they will be awarded 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System score points. That guarantees them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada in the federal Express Entry draw.
