In the third Saskatchewan PNP draw held in July, the province invited 802 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. The draw held on July 21 targeted 797 immigration candidates through the Express Entry stream of the province, and the minimum points required for the candidates to receive the invitation was 68. The draw selected candidates with work experience in one the 18 targeted occupations of the draw.
The National Occupational Codes(NOCs) targeted in the draw were: 2171, 0621, 6221, 2281, 2263, 0711, 2282, 6211, 0631, 3212, 2234, 3219, 3237, 0632, 8252, 6312, 3217, 3214.
Besides Express Entry stream candidates, five invitations were issued to candidates who listed Ukraine as the country of their residence.
Saskatchewan Expression of Interest
To receive an invitation under either the Express Entry, the Occupations In-Demand or Entrepreneur Streams, a candidate must submit an Expression of Interest(EOI) under the online system of Saskatchewan, which is OASIS. The selected candidates are invited to apply for provincial nomination in the Expression of Interest draws conducted by the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program(SINP). To receive a nomination in this manner, a candidate must first submit an Expression of Interest to the SINP. Eligible candidates would enter the EOI candidate pool. Candidates with the highest EOI scores will be selected and issued Invitations in the SINP Expression of Interest draws that are conducted regularly. The invited candidates may submit the full application within 60 days. Based on the assessment of the SINP officials, these candidates will be issued provincial nomination from Saskatchewan. The nominated Express Entry candidates will have 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score points added to their total CRS score.
Saskatchewan Express Entry sub-category
To be eligible under the Express Entry sub-category of a candidate must have an active Express Entry profile and a job seeker validation code. They must have scored at least 60 points in the SINP points assessment grid. They must have language proficiency proven with tests results from a designated testing agency and must have completed at least one year of post-secondary level education. If they have earned their educational credentials from outside Canada, they must have the Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) done. Further, the candidate must have at least one year of experience in an eligible occupation. They must also have acquired a professional license from Saskatchewan if required. They must also submit proof of settlement funds and also a settlement plan.
