The Canadian province of Nova Scotia has issued Notifications of Interest to nurses to participate in the Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot of the province. The NOI letters were sent to the Express Entry profiles of the selected candidates on April 11, 2023. Those who have received the letter and interested to proceed may contact the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness. They must also submit an Expression of Interest before 11:59 pm ADT, May 11. The candidates who have a valid job offer from Nova Scotia Health Authority may apply to the Nova Scotia Nominee Program: Skilled Worker stream or the Atlantic Immigration Program.
The Express Entry profiles of those who have received the Notifications of Interest will continue to remain in the Express Entry pool. However, if they participate in the Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot and are nominated under the Skilled Worker Stream or endorsed under the Atlantic Immigration Program, they will not receive the 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score points. The reason is that only non-Express Entry pathways are used in the Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot.
