Express Entry: IRCC Invites Another 800 Profiles For Canada PR In The Latest All-Program Draws

Highlights

1. IRCC conducted the 257th Express Entry draw on July 11.
2. Eligible foreign nationals in the federal pool must have been ranked 800 or above to get invited under this round of invitations.
3. The lowest-rank candidate had a CRS score of 505 in this draw.
4. Canada held four new category-based selection draws in the last two weeks, inviting healthcare, STEM professionals, or those with strong French speaking skills in separate draws.

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held an all-program Express Entry draw yesterday. The July 11 draw issued 800 invitations to apply (ITA) under all Express Entry programs for Canadian permanent residence (PR).

ITAs to the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Provincial Nominee Program may have been issued through this round of invitations.

IRCC invited eligible profiles with minimum qualifying scores based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). It decreased by 6 points to 506 from the previous all-program draw

In case of a tie where two or more eligible candidates end up with the same CRS score, IRCC considered profiles registered on or before October 01, 2022 at 06:13:05 UTC. 

How Can You Qualify for Express Entry? 

Any eligible foreign national seeking direct permanent residence without prior work experience or job offer in Canada may register their profile in the federal pool. 

These profiles are evaluated on a total of 1200 points, mainly based on the human capital criteria like age, education, work experience outside Canada, language proficiency in English/French, spouse adaptability, and Canadian study experience, etc. are considered for evaluation purposes. 

A successful provincial nomination can boost the Express Entry CRS score by 600 points. 

Who Can Apply for New Category-Based Express Entry Draws?

IRCC had earlier announced five new occupation categories for an exclusive round of invitations under Express Entry for Canada PR. 

Candidates with a minimum of six months of work experience in Canada or abroad within the last 3 years, in any one of the below occupation categories are eligible for new category-based Express Entry draws. 

Recently, IRCC held nomination rounds for three categories, including 

1. Healthcare
2. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Professions
3. Strong French Language Proficiencystrong French Language Proficiency

The other purposed occupation category eligible for exclusive Express Entry nominations are 

1. Trades, such as carpenters, plumbers, and contractors
2. Transport
3. Agriculture and agri-food
