However, British Columbia did not specify the number of invitations issued under each of these categories– SI — Skilled Worker; SI — International Graduate; SI — Entry Level and Semi-Skilled; EEBC — Skilled Worker and EEBC — International Graduate.
Category | Minimum Score |
EEBC – Skilled Worker | 110 |
EEBC – International Graduate | 105 |
SI – Skilled Worker | 105 |
SI – International Graduate | 105 |
SI – Entry Level & Semi-Skilled | 80 |
BC PNP draws are conducted periodically, when candidates belonging to these categories are invited to apply for a provincial nomination based on their scores. While the minimum required scores in many of the previous BC PNP draws were between 75 and 105, the latest draw had the minimum score range between 80 and 110 points.
The points are awarded on the basis of various eligibility factors including the level of education, work experience, employment offer etc. The Express Entry candidates who receive provincial nomination from British Columbia will obtain 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points, which guarantee them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada in the upcoming Express Entry draw. However, the applications of Skills Immigration candidates nominated by British Columbia are processed outside the Express Entry system.
