Express Entry candidates invited
Among the Skilled Workers Overseas candidates invited on December 20 are an unspecified number of Express Entry candidates. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) had invited candidates through its Express Entry pathway in the previous draw held in December as well. In order to be considered for invitation for provincial nomination from MPNP, the Express Entry candidates must have minimum six months’ experience in one of the in-demand occupations of Manitoba and a job seeker validation code.
The first step in applying for a provincial nomination from Manitoba is submitting an Expression of Interest to the MPNP. The submitted profiles are then ranked on the basis of a number of factors such as education qualification, work experience and language proficiency (English or French). The candidate’s connection to Manitoba will also be considered, including close relative or previous education or work experience in the province. The highest ranking candidates are invited to apply for provincial nomination.
Those who successfully apply for provincial nomination from Manitoba will receive 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points that would guarantee them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada in the subsequent Express Entry draw.
Besides, Manitoba also issued 44 LAAs to Skilled Workers Overseas candidates a Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The minimum required score was 718.
