Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has introduced a few important changes to its In-Demand Occupations List. Manitoba In-demand Occupations List is updated regularly and the immigration streams under the MPNP target the occupations included in the List, unless stated otherwise.
The Manitoba In-demand Occupations List is applicable to certain pathways under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream (SWO), the Skilled Workers In Manitoba stream (SWM) and the International Education Stream (IES). Manitoba has been conducting regular draws to each of these immigration streams since the start of 2019.
Changes to the Manitoba In-demand Occupations List
For the first time, the MPNP has indicated which immigration stream each of the occupations in the in-demand occupations list is eligible for. Language requirements have been changed for seven other positions and seven occupations have been removed from the list, as part of the changes.
