PNP immigration through Express Entry
The Express Entry system of Canada is a federal immigration program that manages applications for immigration under the three federal economic immigration programs, which are the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program and Federal Skilled Trades Program. Those who are interested in receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada may create an Express Entry profile. Each Express Entry profile is assessed on the basis of various eligibility factors and awarded a Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score. The score is awarded out of 1200, on the basis of various eligibility factors such as age, education, work experience etc. Those with the highest scores receive invitation to apply for permanent residence. The candidates who are nominated by the provinces are awarded an additional CRS score of 600. It guarantees them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in a subsequent Express Entry draw.

A provincial nomination received under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program supports immigration applications to the federal government. In order to receive a provincial nomination from Manitoba, a candidate must first submit an Expression of Interest to the province. Each Expression of Interest profile is assessed on the basis of various eligibility factors and awarded score out of 1000. Those with the highest scores receive invitations from Manitoba. In 2021, Manitoba invited a total of 9150 candidates.
The Provincial Nominee Program of Manitoba allows the province to select candidates who meet their labour market requirements. In order to receive a nomination from MPNP, Skilled Workers Overseas candidates must demonstrate previous connections to the province in the form of close family members residing in the province, previous study or work experience in the province, or an invitation received through one of the strategic recruitment initiatives of Manitoba.
At the same time, Skilled Workers in Manitoba candidates must have a full-time job offer from a Manitoba employer. International graduates from the higher education institutions in Manitoba many receive an invitation under International Education stream.
