Manitoba PNP Expression of Interest system
Those who wish to receive an invitation to apply for provincial nomination from Manitoba under either the Skilled Workers in Manitoba or Skilled Workers Overseas categories must first submit an Expression of Interest to the MPNP. Each profile submitted in the this manner will be assessed and awarded a score out of 1000 based on various human capital factors such as age, education, work experience, language ability, previous connections to the province etc. Candidates with the highest scores will receive an invitation to apply for Manitoba’s provincial nomination.
Streams under Manitoba PNP
The Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba streams of MPNP allow the province to nominate skilled workers who can support the labour market needs of the province. Candidates who are applying from outside the province must have previous connection to the province such as friends or family members living in the province, previous study or work experience in the province, or an invitation received under one of the Strategic Recruitment Initiatives of MPNP.
However, it is not necessary for candidates to be physically present in Manitoba at the time of submitting the application.
At the same time, Skilled Workers in Manitoba category candidates must meet certain criteria, such as having a full-time permanent job offer from an employer in Manitoba. International students with in-demand skills may receive an invitation under the International Education Stream.
