In the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) draw held on June 23, a total of 583 Express Entry candidates received invitations to apply for provincial nomination. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the invited candidates ranged between 464 and 467.
All the invited candidates belong to the Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream of OINP. The June 23 Express entry draw invited candidates also had work experience in one of the 10 targeted occupations including:
- Banking, credit and other investment managers (NOC 0122)
- Advertising, marketing and public relations managers (NOC 0124)
- Other business services managers (NOC 0125)
- Corporate sales managers (NOC 0601)
- Financial auditors and accountants (NOC 1111)
- Financial and investment analysts (NOC 1112)
- Human resources professionals (NOC 1121)
- Professional occupations in business management consulting (NOC 1122)
- Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses (NOC 3012)
- Business development officers and marketing researchers and consultants (NOC 4163)
The candidates were required to have work experience of at least one year in any of these occupations. If they successfully apply for and obtain provincial nomination from Ontario, they will have 600 additional CRS score points added to their total score and that would guarantee them an Invitation to Apply for Permanent Residence in Canada.
Human Capital Priorities Stream
The Human Capital Priorities Stream under the OINP allows the province to select eligible candidates who are assessed in terms of education, work experience, language proficiency etc.
To be eligible for Human Capital Priorities Stream, the candidates must be qualified under either the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or Canadian Experience Class(CEC). It is not possible to apply directly under the Human Capital Priorities stream. Instead, the candidates must receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) from the OINP, inviting them to apply for provincial nomination. Upon receiving the invitation, they may apply for provincial nomination within 45 days.
