In a news release, Health Canada said that the approval for the Coronavirus vaccine in Canada was supported by evidence that it’s safe, effective, and of good quality. Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau informed in a Tweet that 30,000 doses of vaccine would be arriving in the country by this Monday and up to 249,000 doses by the end of 2020. Millions more doses of vaccine will arrive in early 2021. Canada has signed contracts with seven companies and secured 414 million doses of vaccines, according to a report by the CTV. Canada is the country that has secured the highest number of COVID-19 vaccines on per capita basis.
