Canadian Experience Class
Canadian Experience Class, created in 2008, is an Express Entry-aligned pathway for those who have work experience in Canada. To be eligible under this pathway, the candidates must have at least one year of Canadian work experience.
So far this year, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada(IRCC) has held Express Entry draws that alternately targeted Provincial Nominee Program candidates and Canadian Experience Class candidates. Despite the pandemic, the first quarter of the year witnessed a record number of Express Entry candidates receiving invitations to apply for permanent residence. With the latest draw, the number candidates who have received invitations under Express Entry has reached 61771. This number is significantly higher compared to the same time period in 2020, when the total number of Express Entry invitations issued was 30989. This year, Canada is aiming to admit 401000 new immigrants. More than 108000 among them will be admitted to the country through Express Entry.
Canada Express Entry
The Express Entry system of Canada manages applications for immigration under the three economic immigration programs of Canada, which are Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program, and Federal Skilled Trades Program. To migrate to Canada under Express Entry, each candidate must first create an Express Entry profile. Each of these profiles is assessed and ranked on the basis of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that is awarded to candidates on the basis of various eligibility factors such as age, education, work experience, language skills etc. Those with the highest scores receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada in the draws that are conducted regularly.
