In yet another Express Entry draw held in a gap of just one day, Canada invited 4,147 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates with a minimum score of 401 to apply for permanent residence. The CRS cut-off score is just one point higher than the previous CEC draw held on April 29. Tie-break rule was applied in this draw too and the time stamp given was April 29, 2021 at 11:48:14 UTC. It means the draw prioritized those eligible candidates who had submitted their profiles before the said date and time.
Canadian Experience Class
Canadian Experience Class or CEC is one of the three federal economic immigration programs managed under the Express Entry. To be eligible under this program, the candidates must have Canadian work experience of at least one year. The experience should be in a skilled, full-time job and should be acquired while under temporary resident status with authorization for work.
Candidates with work experience in National Occupation Classification (NoC) categories managerial jobs (skill level 0), professional jobs (skill type A) and technical jobs and skilled trades (skill type B) may apply. However, there is no education requirement for this immigration program. But for occupations under NOC 0 or A categories, candidates must have English/French language proficiency equal to Canadian Language Benchmark 7 in all the four abilities. For NOC B jobs, the minimum language proficiency level is equal to Canadian Language Benchmark 5.
