775 PNP candidates invited in November 10 Express Entry draw

In the Express Entry draw held on November 10, Canada invited 775 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent residence. The draw exclusively targeted Provincial Nominee Program candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score of 685. Considering that fact that the PNP candidates would have received 600 CRS score points along with their nomination, this is one of the lowest CRS cut-off scores in a PNP draw. It means, the candidates would have received invitation, even if their basic CRS score is mere 85. This is the second lowest cut-off score in a PNP draw held after March 2020.

In the previous Express Entry draw held on October 27, 888 candidates with a minimum score of at least 744 had received invitations.

Ever since Canada imposed border restrictions in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, Express Entry draws have been alternating between PNP and Canadian Experience Class(CEC) draws. Even after most of the border restrictions are rolled back, Canada is yet to conduct an all-program draw. A reason is that, most of the CEC candidates would already be in Canada, so they do not have to cross the borders to enter the country. Besides, Canada is committed to meeting the immigration goals of its provinces for the economic benefit of these regions.

Canada has been holding five PNP-only Express Entry draws consecutively.

As per the Immigration Levels Plan of Canada, the country would be admitting a total of 108500 immigrants through Express Entry in 2021. However Canada has exceeded this goal and already invited 112040 candidates through Express Entry by now. The next year, Canada will be inviting 110,500 immigration candidates through Express Entry.
