Canada Issues 3200 Express Entry ITAs For the Canadian Experience Class with a minimum CRS score of 509

Express Entry Draw 309

In a significant boost for skilled workers already residing in Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 3,200 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. This latest Express Entry draw, conducted on August 14, saw a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 509 required to qualify, and it marks Express Entry Draw 309.

The move underscores Canada’s continued commitment to attracting and retaining global talent. The CEC pathway is specifically designed for foreign workers who have gained valuable work experience within the country. By prioritising these individuals, Canada aims to fill labour shortages across various sectors and contribute to economic growth.

The CRS score of 509, while still competitive, represents a slight decrease compared to previous CEC draws. This could indicate a growing pool of qualified candidates or a strategic adjustment by IRCC to expedite the immigration process.

Successful applicants who receive ITAs will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residency. If approved, they will be eligible to live and work anywhere in Canada.

This latest draw is part of IRCC’s ongoing efforts to meet ambitious immigration targets and address the country’s labour market needs. With a focus on attracting skilled workers, Canada is positioning itself as a global destination for talent and innovation.
