In the sixth Express Entry draw of 2019, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 3350 immigration candidates to apply for permanent residence in Canada. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off threshold for the March 20 draw was 452 points. This is slightly lower than the requirement for the previous Express Entry draw held on March 6, when the minimum CRS score required was 454.
As in the previous draws, tie-break rule was applied in the latest draw as well. The time stamp given for the draw was February 7, 2019 at 09:59:25 UTC. It means all candidates with a CRS score of 452 and above, who submitted their Express Entry profiles before the said date and time, were invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
With the latest draw, the total number of invitations issued by IRCC so far in 2019 has reached 21,200.
As per the updated Canada Immigration Levels Plan for 2019-2021, the country will be accepting around 256,000 new immigrants through the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Class– the three economic immigration pathways managed by the Express Entry, over the next three years. Canada will welcome yet another 200,000 or so new permanent residents to the country through Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) before the end of 2021.
Canada is taking all efforts to meet the immigration targets for the current year. Likewise, for meeting the targets as per the updated Immigration Levels Plan, it is expected that Canada will issue more invitations over the coming weeks, months, and years, benefiting Canada immigration aspirants all over the world.
