Immigration options for students in Canada

International graduates, after completing their course, can apply for Post-graduate Work Permit(PGWP). This open work permit allows the holder to work for any Canadian employer and gain the much valuable Canadian work experience, which makes it easier for them to obtain PR in Canada. Those who have at least one year of Canadian work experience and proficiency in one of the two official languages of Canada, English and French, can apply for Canada PR through Canadian Experience Class(CEC) program.

Canada to welcome more immigrants

Canada has set high immigration targets for the coming years. In 2021, Canada welcomed a record number of more than 405000 permanent residents. In 2022, Canada is planning to welcome 431645 permanent residents. Canada will be welcoming more than 1.3 million new permanent residents over the next three years and it means international students have a great opportunity to become permanent residents in Canada.
