IRCC issues 1,400 ITAs in latest Express Entry draw for French proficiency with a minimum CRS score of 410

On April 24th, 2024, Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 1,400 candidates to apply for permanent residence through the Express Entry system. This was the fourth such draw in the month of April, and the draw focused on candidates who had strong French language skills.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that was required for this draw was 410. This was the highest score for French language proficiency so far in 2024.

Express entry candidates looking to show strong French language skills will need to meet the minimum Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) score of 7 in all four abilities: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

This latest draw proves that enhancing one’s French language skills is a great way to guarantee permanent residency in Canada, since there is great demand for a French-speaking workforce in the country.
