The Canadian province of Ontario has issued a set of new instructions for submitting the application for provincial nomination. While applying for provincial nomination from Ontario, the applicants have to send the complete application to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). If there are any missing elements in application, it will lead to the application being returned.
The new instructions pertain to submitting applications for Express Entry and Expression of Interest candidates.
Ontario Express Entry
The Ontario Express Entry stream is aligned to the federal Express Entry system. If you are an applicant under the Express Entry stream and have completed your education outside Canada, you will need an Educational Credential Assessment(ECA) done in order to earn points for education.
Ontario has specifically named World Education Services(WES)as the service provider for ECA. The applicant has to authorize WES to share a copy of their ECA with the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. For this, the applicants have to order an additional report of their ECA report online and then select Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program as the recipient.
If you have not authorized WES to share the report with OINP, your application will be returned as incomplete and the application fee will be refunded. Then you will have to wait till you receive another Notification of Interest from Ontario to apply for provincial nomination.
Expression of Interest streams
The candidates, who apply under the Employer Job Offer stream of Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program, need to submit a PDF copy of their Attestation Form. The applicant has to print this copy sign in ink and upload it to the ‘Other’. If there is no signed copy of the Attestation Form, Ontario will return the application as incomplete and refund the application fee. Then you will have to submit an Expression of Interest to the OINP again and wait for a new invitation to apply for provincial nomination.
