In the first Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) draw of 2022 held on January 11, a total of 1084 immigration candidates received invitations to apply for provincial nomination. The invitations were issued through three streams under the Employer Job Offer category of OINP, which are Foreign Worker, International Student and In-Demand Skills streams. While Foreign Worker stream candidates received 264 invitations, International Student Stream candidates received 762 invitations. The number of invitations issued to In-demand Skills stream was 58.
The minimum score required for Foreign Worker Stream candidates was 38 and International Student stream candidates were to have a minimum score of 59 and for In-Demand Skills stream candidates, the minimum score was 11.

Ontario needs more immigrants
