In the latest Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) draw held on June 16, the province invited 136 skilled workers in entrepreneurs to apply for provincial nomination. The invitations were issued through the Labour Impact, Express Entry and Business Impact stream of Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP). Among those invited, 127 were Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates. Business Impact candidates received 9 invitations. Moreover, they were required to score at least 65 points to receive an invitation.
Prince Edward Island Express Entry stream
The Express Entry stream of Prince Edward Island allows the province to select candidates from the federal Express Entry pool. Those who wish to receive an invitation through this stream must submit an Expression of Interest to the PEI PNP. It is not necessary for the candidate to have a job offer from a PEI employer to receive an invitation through the Express Entry stream of Prince Edward Island.

However, priority will be given to those who are currently living and working in PEI. The candidates are assessed on the basis of PEI Express Entry Ranking System. Those with the highest ranks will be invited to apply for provincial nomination in one of the periodic draws of PEI PNP.
Prince Edward Island Labour Impact category
The Labour Impact category of PEI PNP has two streams, Skilled Worker Stream and Critical Worker Stream.
The Skilled Worker Stream is an employer-driven stream for those with an employment offer from an PEI employer. To be eligible under this stream, the candidates must also meet the following criteria:
- A full-time job offer from a PEI employer in an occupation classified as skill level “0”, “A” or “B” of NOC
- Post-secondary level education
- Age between 21 and 55
- Two years of full time work experience acquired within past five years
- Proficiency in English/French
- Settlement funds
- Intention to settle in Prince Edward Island
Critical Worker Stream
This stream is for candidates who are already working in Prince Edward Island. To be eligible, the candidates must have at least six months work experience in the province.
