In the Express Entry draw held on May 26, which exclusively targeted Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)candidates, a total of 500 persons received Invitations to Apply(ITAs) for permanent residence in Canada. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required for the candidates to receive an invitation in the draw was 713. As the PNP candidates have already received 600 additional CRS score points along with the provincial nomination, the lowest basic CRS score of the invited candidates could be 113.
The number of invited candidates has dropped by 57 compared to the previous PNP-specific Express Entry draw. At the same time, the CRS cut-off score has also come down by 39 points.
As in the previous Express Entry draws, a tie-break rule was applied in this draw too. The time stamp given was April 06, 2021 at 09:50:14 UTC. It means the draw prioritized eligible candidates who had submitted their Express Entry profiles before the said date and time.
Since the start of the year 2021, the Express Entry draws have been alternatively targeting Provincial Nominee Program(PNP) and Canadian Experience Class( CEC) candidates. However, this year, Canada is planning to admit a record number of new immigrants. The target set for Express Entry immigration is 10,8500. So far in 2021, a total of 68817 Express Entry candidates have received invitations to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
Canada Express Entry
The Express Entry system of Canada manages applications for immigration under the three economic immigration programs, which are Federal Skilled Worker Program(FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program(FSTP) and Canadian Experience Class(CEC). The Express Entry candidates are assessed and ranked on the basis of Comprehensive Ranking System score and those with the highest score receive invitations to apply for permanent residence in Canada, in the draws that are usually conducted in every two weeks.
