Provincial Nominee Programs help the provinces and territories of Canada to nominate those candidates who can meet their respective labour market and demographic needs, to migrate to the country. Canada offers immigration candidates close to 80 PNP pathways to choose from. At the same time, for the immigration candidates, choosing a Canada PNP program that best suits their qualifications and preferences decides the success of their immigration application.
Most of the PNPs have at least one stream aligned to the federal Express Entry stream. Those candidates who are nominated under these streams are awarded an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score points that guarantee them an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence in Canada in the subsequent Express Entry draw.
The best PNP pathways if you don’t have a job offer
One of the best PNP immigration pathways for those who do not have a job offer from a Canadian employer is the Human Capital Priorities Stream. However, to apply under this stream, the candidate must have an active Express Entry profile and work experience.
Another option is the International Skilled Worker category of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program(SINP). The category has two streams–Saskatchewan Express Entry-linked stream and Occupation In-Demand stream. To qualify under the Express Entry-linked stream, the candidate must have an active Express Entry profile. At the same time, the Occupation In-Demand category targets those candidates who have work experience of at least one year in an occupation listed on the In-Demand Occupations List of Saskatchewan. Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) also has immigration streams that do not require candidates to have a job offer.
Canada PNP options for French speakers
A major PNP immigration stream that exclusively targets French-speaking candidates is the French-speaking Skilled Worker Stream aligned to the federal Express Entry. Those French-speaking candidates who also possess English language skills can be selected under this category. Ontario has issued around 700 under the French-speaking Skilled Worker category during the past six months.
Canada PNP streams for tech workers
British Columbia and Ontario conduct PNP draws that exclusively target tech workers. Tech draws are conducted by Ontario under the Express Entry-linked Human Capital Priorities stream. These draws target skilled tech workers with work experience in one of the six designated tech occupations.
The Tech Pilot program of British Columbia, which operates under the BC Skills Immigration pathway targets those candidates who have a job offer in one of 29 designated technology occupations.
Canada PNP streams for those who have experience in province
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas streams of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program(MPNP) prioritize candidates who have previous education or work experience in the province.
Canada PNP offer numerous immigration opportunities for eligible candidates. Despite the restrictions imposed in the wake of Coronavirus pandemic, PNPs have been conducting periodic draws and inviting candidates to apply for nomination.
