Arrima System
Arrima System or the Quebec Expression of Interest system selects eligible Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program candidates who are most likely to establish themselves economically in the province. This program provides an opportunity for skilled workers and international graduates to obtain Quebec Selection Certificate. Under the Arrima system, candidates are assessed on the basis of various factors such as educational qualification, work experience, language skills, age etc.
The candidates who are invited in an Arrima draw, if successfully apply within the stipulated period, would receive a Quebec Selection Certificate or CSQ. With this document, they can apply for permanent residence in Canada.
This year, Quebec is planning to welcome 49500 to 52500 immigrants to the province. An additional 18000 candidates will also be admitted in order to compensate that admission levels that could not be met in 2020 owing to the pandemic. So, a total of 70000 are expected to make Quebec their new home this year.
